I kept these sample photos basic so the real beauty of these places will be unlocked when you visit. I also shoot regularly in Prescott, Flagstaff, and I’m contracted for shoots all over the country. Any location is possible, just message me directly.

A short uphill walk leads to one of the most expansive vistas in Sedona with views of Bell, Courthouse, and other iconic rock formations. There are open but also secluded views in this large area which can accomodate groups of all sizes and is not as busy as other locations. Tuesdays feature a dance group and full moon drum circles are held here.
Best time: Sunset or sunrise
Walk: 1200 ft small uphill trail
Parking: Easy

So many options as you are up close to the 3 major rock formations in Sedona, and there are 100’s of unique views. Some are a short walk with panoramic views, others are a long scramble to the top of Baby Bell Rock, but most of the spots here lie somewhere in between. Parking can be difficult but if you are patient, people are constantly leaving.
Best time: Sunset or Sunrise
Walk: 300-1200 ft on wide trail
Parking: Moderate

Schnebly Hill Road goes for miles if you have a 4×4, and there are trails that lead to various locations from 50 feet to 2 miles away. Just steps from the parking lot are 3 great shooting locations for large groups or those not wanting to walk far. If you are willing to take a hike or bushwack I can take you to some of my favorite “secret” spots from this trailhead.
Best time: Sunset or Sunrise
Walk: 50-300 ft very easy
Parking: Easy

Stunning retro architecture with incredible landscaping make (tuh · laa · kay · paa · kee) a visual mosaic for photo experiences. Old world tile work, large fountains, and incredible sculptures line the grounds of this shopping and eating destination. It does get busy so there are very limited times to shoot here.
Best time: Early morning or night
Walk: 100-500 ft sidewalks
Parking: Easy

Ease of access with one of the most close up and dramatic views of Cathedral Rock, it can be windy here. Several shooting locations are within 200ft but the Secret Slick Rock view is a short walk up and over a hill with a 270 degree panorama. This is one of the boldest backdrops in Sedona, and if water is present there are puddles as a bonus.
Best time: Sunset or Sunrise
Walk: 100-1200 ft small hill
Parking: Moderate

Excellent for longer shoots, the park has many different shooting locations within a small walking distance and is one of the few locations with Oak Creek and running water. It features a mix of shade, open fields, and red rock. There is a $12 entrance fee but it’s a great place to have a picnic and spend some time before or after your shoot.
Best time: Anytime
Walk: 200-1000 ft easy
Parking: Difficult mid-day

The main view here is called Lovers Knoll, but several different pull offs exist along this road and all of them have stunning views of the iconic red rock formations in the distance. While each pull off is unique, they are all easy to access and provide several different views with interesting trees and rock formations.
Best time: Sunset or Sunrise
Walk: 10-200 ft very easy
Parking: Moderate

A great spot for sunset or sunrise with easy access, a short walk, and usually plenty of parking. Views of Coffee Pot Rock and Thunder Mountain are the highlights, but it lacks the 360 degree views of other locations. This area is also shared use with a school and disc golf course so it’s not ideal for large groups or during the day.
Best time: Sunset
Walk: 100-500 ft easy
Parking: Difficult during day

The West Fork Trail is a completely different take on Sedona as it lacks the wide open panoramas but has a beautiful creek with red rock canyon views. Because of the shade, it’s a great spot to shoot midday or in the summer. The fall features colorful foliage but also large crowds making choice of time very important.
Best time: Anytime
Walk: 300ft-3000 ft on wide trail
Parking: Difficult mid-day
